The INCIA department is a world leader in the field of Neuroscience research. Its research particularly focuses on the neuronal basis of addictive processes. In the department molecular and electrophysiological approaches are combined on the freely behaving animal to understand how brain cells encode and decode the memories linked to drug intake and withdrawal.
In this animation, SciLight modelled the complex microdrive, electrode and optrode assembly used to monitor and modulate brain signals in the behaving animal.
